NEW: Elusive Poppy Update
Paul and I Travelled up to Rebecca’s Yard last week, observing all the Covid protocols of course and was able to see Poppy before she comes back into work.
She was very relaxed and chilled on her Holidays, we had a long chat to Bex about her and the plan is, first and foremost to get her in, which was done yesterday, she will see the farrier today for new shoes and begin life again on the walker, building up to the round gallop to get her back in the swing of things, then back on to the main 10f uphill gallop in a few weeks time. She will also be schooled over Hurdles as soon as Bex thinks she is ready.
She wont run before October, her first run will be a NHF race to get her back on the track and clear the cobwebs away, after which she be moved up to 20f Novice Hurdles and gradually up to 24f where her undoubted stamina will be seen to best effect. Given her size, age and pedigree, I cant envisage we will be Hurdling to long and I personally hope she will be over fences ( which is what she is bred for) by the end of the season, all things being well.
Anyway here she is, the star of the show.
If you interested in a share of the lease for Poppy, she is available at £195pcm for 3 years, for more details, our Horses in Training section or ring me or Paul for more details, our nos are in the contact section.
